My name is Nasreen Aminifard. I started blogging in January 2014 with a simple mission: to provide actionable Security Trade Ideas and financial education to help everyday investors manage their own portfolios — without paying enormous fees to financial advisors or investment firms.

In 2026, I took that mission further by building SecurityTradeIdeas Pro — a platform that automates the research process for stock selection and options income trading.

My passion for the financial markets runs deep. I have been buying and selling stocks from a young age, inspired by my father, who kept a handwritten log of his investments and stock prices for years while I was growing up. Watching him track every position with discipline and dedication planted a seed that never stopped growing.

I am not a newcomer to the world of investing — or to technology. I hold a Master’s degree in Information Systems from a college in San Francisco, California, and spent more than thirty years working as an Oracle Database Administrator, programmer, and consultant across banking, insurance, and technology industries. That background gave me the tools to build something most trading platforms don’t offer: a research engine that combines financial expertise with technology.
